Visa Processing and Requirements
Tourist Visa
Original passport with a minimum validity of 6 months.
Visa application form duly filled and signed by the applicant.
One recent passport size photograph, white background, 4*5 centimetres, duly pasted on application. (Do not staple the photographs)
Travel Itinerary and hotel reservation. No confirmed booking nor air ticket required.
Cover letter from the applicant explaining the purpose of their trip. (A courtesy translation in Spanish is mandatory).
Documents showing economic solvency:
Bank letter stating date of opening of an account, annual average balance maintained during the year, date of last deposit in the account or bank certificates. (Mandatory)
Bank statement-last 3 months. (Mandatory)
Certificate of employment indicating date of joining, position held and salary at the company. (Optional)
Titles of ownership of residence, business, farm or land, or vehicle registration if it applies. (Optional)
Original passport, copy of the bio-data page and copy of valid visas pages.
Invitation letter (if available) - If invited by friend or relative, applicant must attach an invitation letter in Spanish which should be notarized and legalized by the Procuraduría General de la República Dominicana along with a copy of the Dominican ID (Cédula) or residence status of the Guarantor/Invitee. Also, the letter must include the following clause:
“Garantizo que (nombre, nacionalidad y pasaporte), no permanecerá en la República Dominicana más tiempo que el concedido por la Dirección General de Migración, ni solicitará residencia o cambio de estatus migratorio desde el territorio dominicano, dedicándose exclusivamente a la actividad por la cual le fue otorgado el visado. Me hago moral y económicamente responsable de su retorno a su país de origen, asumiendo pagar a favor del Estado Dominicano cualquier gasto en que dicha persona pueda incurrir durante su estancia en el país, o que se origine como consecuencia de su repatriación o deportación del mismo”.
Police clearance certificate (PCC) emitted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs with the respective Apostille (if applicable). PCC should not be older than 1 year and a certified translation in Spanish is mandatory.
Business Visa

Certification of acceptance by the University and / or institution in the Dominican Republic:
New University admission.
Religious: Letter of request from the highest-ranking superior in your church, indicating that you are coming to study religious / theological studies within your recognized congregation in the country.
Internship: Copy of the agreement between the foreign study center and the Dominican institution.
Work Visa

Certificate by the Ministry of Labour of Dominican Republic indicating that the company is registered with Integrated Registration System Labor (SIRLA), and in compliance with the provisions of Article 135 of the Dominican Labour Code (nationalization of the work) (not older than 3 months).
Birth Certificate-duly apostilled by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (a certified translation in Spanish is mandatory).
Certificate by the Ministry of Labour of Dominican Republic indicating the date of joining, designation, salary and any additional benefits from the company.
Medical certificate which includes a general health diagnostic of the applicant, indicating whether he or she suffers from any type of infectious disease. This certificate must be issued by a relevant health authority, medical laboratory, clinic or hospital registered by the Ministry of Public Health.
